Pharmaceutical services

Pharmaceutical Services

As a registered pharmacy assistant (Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant / FTAO), I can support your pharmacy and team during times when extra staff is needed. For example, on busy days, in cases of force majeure due to illness, staff holidays, etc.

I am very flexible in this regard: from a few hours to a full working day, from ad-hoc moments to fixed days (including Saturdays).

With a background as a research laboratory technician in a pharmaceutical/medical device company, I have built up almost 10 years of experience working with galenic formulations, product development, and performing quality control on GMP-manufactured commercial packaging, including the preparation of the analysis certificate for batch releases.

Working accurately and with high quality standards is therefore one of my strong suits.

The role of a pharmacy assistant also has its place in clinical studies, supporting study pharmacists and/or acting as backup in studies and projects, as required by GCP regulation.

With over 9 years of experience in clinical trials as a (senior) Clinical Research Associate at the largest CRO, I am very familiar with the high standards demanded in the field of clinical research. I am well-versed in the most commonly used data entry systems (iMedidata RAVE, Inform), IWRS subject medication systems (Almac, Suvoda, Clinphone), and other study-related portals and systems.

My expertise spans from Phase 1 to Phase 3 studies and from feasibility to close-out across various therapeutic areas and indications, such as Oncology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and psychiatric disorders.

About me

Everything starts with an idea…

In 2006, when I graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical and Biological Techniques, it was still allowed to work as a pharmacy assistant in a public pharmacy without official recognition. However, this changed in 2011, when the profession became government-recognized and a license (visum) became mandatory.

By then, I had already been working for several years in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, but I often wondered: should I pursue a postgraduate formation as a Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant…

And voilà: after diving back into theory and completing a 300-hour practical internship in a pharmacy, during which I rediscovered my passion for galenics, enjoyed direct patient contact and providing pharmaceutical care, I obtained my official recognition/visum in June 2024.

But what next? It would be a shame to stop there and not make use of the additional qualification. After all, the pharmaceutical world—with its constant changes and influx of (new) therapies—never stands still. Even with mandatory continuing education as FTAO, there's still a need to stay connected to the pharmacy itself, where patients can be helped, pharmaceutical care provided, and formulations prepared with care.

So the equation was quite simple: I had to do something to combine this wonderful profession with my primary job, and decided to become self-employed in secondary occupation. And thus, ADIUVAS was born. The name was an easy choice too: Adjuvantia (excipients) are consistently used in pharmaceutical preparations, derived from the Latin adiuvare, which means “to help.”

Exactly the service I offer: a helping hand and reliable support.
